Day three of four. This training and is relevant to senior leadership teams, governing bodies, designated teachers, SENDCOs, pastoral and well-being leads and those developing the roll of Attachment and Trauma leads across all phases of education and in all sectors.  

Day 3: Reactions and Responses to the Self and Others

Trust, Advocacy and Self-Efficacy

You will explore the concept of shame and how we protect ourselves from it through our behaviour and how devastating it can feel to children and young people to live with shame and in the absence of protective, nurturing and trusting relationships.

You will understand the vital importance of building trusting relationships with colleagues, children and young people and learn how to support and develop advocacy. You will also learn how to support children and young people to develop self-efficacy, autonomy and to experience competency in multiple domains for improved wellbeing and feelings of self-worth.
